Strength in Community

The Lead4Change Student Leadership Program is so strong because of our Member Educator Community. In our 8th year, we are excited to see our numbers grow beyond 10,000 members.

YOU are a part of something BIG!

Just like the title of the book that inspires the program - you are
Taking People with You: The Only Way to Make BIG Things Happen!

The member community spans all 50 states -- includes educators from every core subject area, every type of association, every level of middle and high school education.

Superintendents, Curriculum Leaders, Principals, Counselors, Department Heads and -- most important -- TEACHERS!  You are the strength of the program -- the heart of the leadership movement!

Equipping students with leadership and SEL skills to prepare them to “Be Your Best Self” is a valuable, necessary and critical goal in today’s world.

We appreciate YOU!

All 10,000+ of you! Feel free to share this free, evidence based, ready-to-use program with a colleague who has not joined. We would love to welcome 10,000 more members this year!

How Does This Work in Social Studies?

For the social studies/social sciences educator, Lead4Change has an Integration Guide for easy implementation. The guide takes you, step-by-step, through the lessons for quick integration into your class.

Help students make the connection between the study of past world events and leaders to what kind of leader they will be. Lead4Change bridges learning with real-life practice.

Let students find out how to develop and practice their leadership skills today. Download the guides to integrate the
6-lesson guide or 12-lesson guide track into your social studies class.

Leadership + Service

At so many conferences this fall we have met educators who are also the Student Council or Student Government Adviser. Bring your student leaders together as a team by having them complete the Lead4Change lessons and a project.

Are they already doing a service project? Make it more successful and easier to complete by using the Lead4Change lessons. Our program gives them a step-by-step framework for applying their leadership skills to complete a very successful service project.

Whether you need your leaders to come together as a team, or they need to lead others in the school to become leaders who serve, Lead4Change makes it easy and successful!

Advisers can lead Lesson 1 then students work together to complete the remaining lessons. When the lessons are done, the service project is also completed. Enter their work in the Lead4Change Challenge and they can bring up to $10,000 back to their school or charity to continue the work they started.

Lead4Change is a National Initiative of the National Association of State Student Council Executive Directors (NASSCED) this year. We are excited to see the engagement and activity across the nation. We can’t wait to see your students’ stories in the Challenge!
